Occupational Therapist – LOCUM

Job Description:

• Assesses and provides individualised Occupational Therapy intervention for children with a wide range of developmental challenges (e.g., Motor Coordination Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, etc.)
• Conducts group Occupational Therapy classes (e.g., handwriting and socialisation)
• Establishes strong therapist–parent–teacher relationships through regular feedback and open communication; provides updates and home/class strategies after each session
• Builds and maintains good relationships with teachers and other professionals in the field
• Updates parents on sessions and progress after each session (text/photos/videos, etc.)
• Maintains and updates case notes regularly and independently
• Proactively keeps up to date with developments in Paediatric Occupational Therapy
• Complies with AHPC regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy from a recognised university
• Registered and compliant with regulations under the Allied Health Professions Act 2011
• Passionate about inclusive practice and early intervention strategies
• Able to build rapport and strong therapeutic relationships with children and families
• Preferably at least 3 years of experience working with children
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
