SPECIALIST SURGEON

Job Description:

• Conduct pre-operative assessments, evaluate patient conditions, and determine appropriate surgical procedures.
• Perform surgical operations with precision while adhering to clinical standards, best practices, and safety protocols.
• Provide post-operative care and follow-up, including monitoring recovery and managing complications.
• Collaborate with anaesthetists, nurses, allied health professionals, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with medical regulations and institutional policies.
• Participate in surgical team meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in continuing medical education to stay updated with advancements in surgical practice.
• Educate and mentor junior clinical staff where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (e.g., MBBS, MD) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of surgical residency and specialist training in the relevant discipline.
• Valid medical licence/registration to practice surgery in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist recognition in the surgical field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience performing surgical procedures with strong emphasis on patient safety and clinical outcomes.
